Commissioning a Project
Commissioning a custom piece of furniture should feel exciting, not overwhelming. We've designed a seamless process - from initial reach-out to final delivery - to ensure a stress-free experience for our clients.
Step 1 — Tell Us What You're Envisioning
Every commissioned piece of furniture starts with a conversation. Reach out through the contact form, email, or Instagram — whatever is easiest for you. Share as much or as little detail as you have: a rough idea, an inspiration photo, a room measurement, or just a feeling or aesthetic you're going for. There are no wrong ideas. Our job is to listen, ask the right questions, and help you get clear on exactly what you want.
Step 2 — Design & Your Custom Quote
Once we understand your vision, a detailed quote is put together that covers the piece dimensions, wood species, finish, and everything else we've discussed. I'll walk you through your material options — whether that's the warmth of walnut, the clean grain of maple, or the character of red oak — so you can make a confident decision. No pressure, no upselling. Just honest guidance on what will look and perform best in your space.
Once you're happy with the design and quote, a deposit secures your spot in the build schedule.
Step 3 — The Build
This is where your piece comes to life in our workshop. We build all furniture pieces with solid wood — no veneers, no shortcuts — and every joint, edge, and finish is done by hand. Depending on the complexity of the piece, commissioned furniture typically takes 4-8 weeks to complete.
We send progress updates along the way so you're never left wondering how the commission is coming along.
